She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Nottingham in 2008, and is currently in the MFA Illustration as Visual Essay program at the School of Visual Arts.

Maëlle is extremely honored to have received recognition from the Society of Illustrators in 2013, American Illustration in 2012, the 3×3 Student Issue in 2012, the Society of Illustrators Student Competition in 2010 and 2011,Creative Quarterly (Issue 27), and the Fall of 2012 Visual Opinion magazine.

In her minimal free time, she enjoys performing improv, walking her dog and messing around with animation, as the visual half of the filmmaking entity ‘The Lone Cornmeal Machine’. She is very lucky to have her partner in crime, Connor Ratliff, as the auditory and editory half of the machine. One of their mini-movies was included in the Clips of Faith Film Festival in 2012.
