Björn Griesbach (b. 1988) is a visual artist from Germany.

Holding a BA in Design from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Hildesheim and an MA in Communication Arts from the Braunschweig University of Art, he currently lives in Hanover, Lower Saxony.

Björn’s tools of the trade are graphite pencils and fluid acrylics. Most works are assembled and altered digitally afterwards. He likes to keep his colour palette minimal, limiting himself to muted natural colours to provide a soothing sense of nostalgia and bygone times.

His themes and imagery are often influenced by his passion for mythology, folklore and the human psyche. In most of his recent works, he combines contemporary images with fairytale-like or dream-like elements to give seemingly mundane subjects a somewhat otherworldly appeal.
