He studied colour design at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HAWK) in Hildesheim, Germany, before going on to graduate in 2010 from the Department of Design at the University of Applied Sciences in Duesseldorf.
His first works were strongly influenced by skateboard graphics and later, by his passion for graffiti. A special appreciation for working with Indian ink carry a certain smoky quality throughout his pieces and lay the foundation for what makes David’s art so honest and tangible. His clients – including Panasonic, ESPN, Adobe, Sony and the BBC – agree.
The young director’s many techniques include traditional animation that David uses in combination with digital and analogue tools. His medium as of late have been paper, wall and Wacom.
Chit Chat Roulette:
The short film Chit Chat Roulette is a surreal mixture of stop motion, puppetry and live-action showing a succession of strangers connected by webcams across a colorful world of handmade characters created from paper, clay and fabrics.
