In 2006, he graduated from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University with a first honours Bachelor Degree in Visual Communication Design. In the same year, he won the YIC Young Design Talent Award and got a scholarship for studying abroad. He furthered his studies in London and graduated from MA Book Arts at Camberwell College of Arts, University of the Arts London, with Distinction in 2008.

He worked as the chief designer of the UAL Student Union Magazine Less Common More Sense, it was glad that the magazine won the Guardian Student Media Awards – Student Publication Design of the Year in 2008. Being part of the prize, he experienced working in the Design Department at the Guardian (a UK creative newspaper) in 2009.
